All Around Delicious.

I have no idea where the day went!  I woke up to clean the bar and came home and started writing emails and before I knew it is was almost noon and I still needed to workout and eat!

But first let me back it up to last night…  Dinner was Brown Rice Shells and “Cheeze” (aka: hummus and nutritional yeast) with sautéed zucchini, squash, onion and broccoli tossed in a little Tony’s seasoning for a bit of a kick.

It may be a bit beige to look at but it tasted amazing.

Breakfast was nothing short of amazing… And it’s something I’ve been waiting to have for a while now, why I waited this long I will never know.

004

Oh heck yes.  Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Oats In A Jar.  I’ve held onto this near empty jar for a few months now just waiting for the day to put it to good use.  Which by the way, should have been the day it got near empty… Or my birthday.  Anyway, I also had a green juice, but that is boring compared to the oats.

Topped with strawberries and walnut nuggets.  I also threw some strawberries halfway into the jar when I was filling it.  The thing I love about oats in a jar is that the hot oats melt the nut butter and it gets ooey-gooey delicious.

Case in point:

I know. I die. (Rachel Zoe… anyone? No? Just me?)

While I enjoyed my oats heaven in a jar, I caught up on emails and let that digest.

I had quite a workout planned for today, including 20 minutes upper body (My favorite Kathy Smith Personal Trainer DVD), 10 minutes abs (Kathy Smith’s Tummy Trimmers: Bootcamp Abs), and 40 minutes cardio/lower body (Self: Slim and Sleek, Fast!).  Which quite literally left me dripping in sweat (while Blue had wonderful puppy dreams).

Once I cooled down and stretched a bit I made a protein packed lunch.

Last night’s leftovers and a Southwest Sunshine Burger with vegenaise, spinach and peach salsa on one slice of honey wheat whole grain bread (cut in half, because it was a huge slice).

Did you know that Sunshine Burgers have 6g of protein in one patty?  How awesome is that?!  Plus the protein in the brown rice pasta and hummus, I would say my muscles are thanking me.

Now I’m off to the farm in the Texas heat!  I foresee a light dinner in my future (green monster??).

Happy Friday!! (Holy crap it’s Friday already?!)
